1Who we are

Movmnt is building a new way for Australians to sell their own home. In this policy, “Movmnt”, “we” and “us” means the team behind movmnt.com.au.

This policy covers our pre-launch website and early-access list. When the Movmnt app launches it will have its own, fuller privacy policy, and we’ll tell you before anything changes.

2What we collect

When you register for early access

• your first name
• your email address
• your suburb or postcode, if you give it
• whether you’re selling, buying or both

We also record the date you signed up and, if you arrived from one of our links or ads, the campaign tag in that link and the page that sent you to us.

We don’t ask for sensitive information such as health or financial details or identity documents, and you don’t need to give us any.

When you visit the website

Like most websites, the services that host this site and deliver its fonts and code receive standard technical information when your browser loads a page, such as your IP address and browser type. We don’t use advertising cookies or tracking pixels, and we don’t build profiles of visitors.

3Why we collect it

• to tell you when Movmnt opens and invite you in first
• to send you launch pricing for your postcode
• to send the occasional update about Movmnt before launch
• to understand which areas and which campaigns people are joining from, so we can plan our launch

We won’t use your details for anything unrelated without asking you first.

4Who we share it with

We don’t sell, rent or trade your details, and we never pass them to real estate agents. We share them only with the service providers that help us run Movmnt, and only so they can do that job:

• Supabase, which stores the early-access list in Sydney
• Vercel, which hosts this website
• an email service provider, once we start sending emails

Some of these providers are based overseas, mainly in the United States, and their staff may access information from there when supporting their service. We choose providers with strong privacy and security commitments.

We may also disclose information if the law requires us to.

5Where it’s stored and how we protect it

• Your details are stored in a database hosted in Sydney.
• They travel over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection.
• The website can add your sign-up, but it can’t read, change or delete the list.
• Only the Movmnt team can view the list.

No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. If a data breach is likely to cause you serious harm, we’ll tell you and, where required, the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

6Emails from us

By registering, you’re asking us to email you about Movmnt. Every email will say who it’s from and include an unsubscribe link. You can also unsubscribe by emailing hello@movmnt.com.au.

7How long we keep it

We keep your details until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. If you haven’t become a Movmnt customer within 12 months of our launch, we’ll delete your details from the early-access list.

8Seeing, correcting or deleting your details

You can ask to see the details we hold about you, correct them or have them deleted. Email hello@movmnt.com.au and we’ll respond within 30 days. We may need to confirm it’s you first. There’s no charge.

9Complaints

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, email hello@movmnt.com.au and tell us what happened. We’ll respond within 30 days.

If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au or call 1300 363 992.

10Under 18s

Movmnt is for people buying or selling a home. The early-access list isn’t intended for anyone under 18.

11Changes to this policy

We’ll update this policy as Movmnt grows, and the date at the top shows when it last changed. If we make a significant change to how we use your details, we’ll email you first.
